IN COMPLIANCE WITH DIRECTIVE 2009/136/EC, WE INFORM YOU THAT OUR SITE USES COOKIES.

COOKIE USAGE NOTICE

This website uses technical cookies and third-party cookies to ensure the correct functioning of procedures and enhance the user experience of online applications. This document provides information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by the site, and how to manage them.

DEFINITIONS

Cookies are small text fragments (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).

Similar technologies, such as web beacons, transparent GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information about user behavior and service usage.

Throughout this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply by using the term “cookies.”

TYPES OF COOKIES

Based on their characteristics and usage, we can distinguish between different categories:
1. Technical cookies. Technical cookies are those used solely to "transmit a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service" (cf. art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into browsing or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website; analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information in aggregate form on the number of users and how they visit the site; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria to improve the service provided. For the installation of such cookies, prior consent from users is not required, while the obligation to provide information pursuant to art. 13 of the Code remains, which the site manager, if only using such devices, may provide in the manner deemed most appropriate.

2. Profiling cookies. Profiling cookies are intended to create profiles related to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the web. Due to the particular invasiveness that these devices can have in the user's private sphere, European and Italian regulations require that the user must be adequately informed about their use and give their valid consent. This is referred to in art. 122 of the Code, which states that "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contractor or a user or access to information already stored is allowed only on the condition that the contractor or user has expressed consent after being informed in the simplified manner provided for in article 13, paragraph 3" (art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). This site does not use profiling cookies.

THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

When visiting the website, you may receive cookies both from the visited site (“first-party”), and from sites managed by other organizations (“third-party”). A notable example is represented by the presence of "iframes," "plugins," or “scripts.” These are parts of the visited page, generated directly by those sites and integrated into the hosting site's page.

The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of the information collected by “third parties” is governed by the respective privacy notices to which we kindly ask you to refer.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

This site also includes certain components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Again, these are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies).

Google Analytics uses "cookies" to collect and analyze anonymously the information on the website usage behaviors (including the user's IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it to prepare reports on the activities of the websites themselves. This site uses Google's analysis tool to monitor or collect personally identifiable information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google nor does it attempt to link an IP address with the identity of a user. Google may also disclose this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the aforementioned information on behalf of Google.

For further information, please refer to the following link: https://www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/

Users can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on their browser. To disable the action of Google Analytics, please refer to the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

COOKIE DURATION

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or until the logout command is executed, if applicable. Other cookies "survive" the closing of the browser and are available on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called persistent, and their duration is set by the server at the time of their creation.

COOKIE MANAGEMENT

The user can decide whether to accept cookies or not by using the settings of their browser.

Note: the total or partial disabling of technical cookies may compromise the use of features of the site reserved for registered users. On the other hand, the usability of public content is possible even by completely disabling cookies. The disabling of "third-party" cookies does not affect browsing in any way. The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. Furthermore, the best browsers allow different settings for "first-party" and "third-party" cookies.

As an example, in Firefox, through the Tools menu -> Options -> Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether to accept different types of cookies and proceed to remove them.

In Internet Explorer, through the Tools menu -> Internet Options -> Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether to accept different types of cookies and proceed to remove them.

In Chrome, through the Settings menu -> Advanced -> Privacy and Security, you can access a control panel where you can define whether to accept different types of cookies and proceed to remove them.

For more information about cookie management in other browsers, visit the official website of the respective browser.
